Topic: Latest version of VDJ won't play MPG?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Since upgrading from Virtual DJ 6 (July 2009 version) to the latest version. I found out tonight that my Video CD karoke files no longer work. They are in MPG format. When I load them into the deck there is no video, even though in the browser they show as a video. When I play them the audio in the VU meter is a flat clip (haven't listened because this will knacker sound system).

Is there anything different about the video condecs in the latest release that can be causing this?

I've done some further investigation and found that it's my "Original Footage" series video CD karaoke discs and another "Love Songs" video CD that won't play. But my other video CDs do play. Before the upgrade to the latest VDJ ALL of them played. Most of my karaoke is on CDG but I have approx 20 video CDs.

Here are the file infos from 2 discs that WONT play:

When loaded into the deck there is no video. When pressing play the VU meter is clipping. The sound playback is just a crackling sound. These play fine in Windows Media Player and on my previous version of VDJ.

Any news on the mpg issue? I am trying to find out if I should just convert my mpgs to mp4 or avi. I have about 3000 vids that may or may not play. I don't want to covert them because the are all kinds of different bit rats and versions of codecs. Maybe the bit rate is 1000 and some are 2500kbs, I will prolly loose quality on some and gain file size on others - unless someone know of a video converter that will match bitrate and frame size?

thanks,
David

All the .mpg files I have that used to work for WinXP won't play under win7. Should I convert these to something else, I've treid loads of codecs / codec pacs to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
