hi -
I have gone through the forums and nobody else's thread seems quite like my weird problem.
I use Virtual DJ 6.08 on my HP 2009 Pavilion. I usually use the auto pitch match function as it is very convenient for mixing. However, I have noticed an issue (this doesn't always happen, and I dont think its always the same tracks either; also this didn't used to be a problem with at least some of the tracks).....i.e. I will have a song on a deck at 133bpm. I drag and drop another track onto the other deck. Because of the auto pitch match, the deck reading shows the track's bpm at 133bpm; however, it isn't.....I know this for sure because:
1. Tracks that used to mix together very easily and well when at the same bpm will not (I don't use the sync button usually, but Ive noticed even trying that doesnt make them mix right)

2. If I right click on the "BPM" tag to the right of the bpm readout, the listed bpm is different that the one on the deck's readout.

...and sometimes the track sounds off from both of those bpm readings!

I have tried:
"copy from other deck" function, retyping in correct bpm, taking off auto pitch match and using manual sliders on my MIDI controller, using + or - buttons to readjudt pitch (which makes it wever weirder i.e. the deck should be at 133bpm but I have to crank it up to 138bpm on the deck readout to get a 133bpm readout on the bpm adjustment screen (that I right-clicked to get to))....rebooting and starting over....this is making me crazy! I don't remember this being an issue with my older versions of vdj, this question may be confusing but I have a big show coming up this weekend so please any help much appreciated!!!!!!

thanks

Not something I have experienced before .... Please try using the latest demo version from this site as 6.08 is out of date now and if it's a cracked copy will probably not work correctly.

Hi -
(first, thanks for the answer Keith). I also submitted this question as a ticket (I had asked about BPM issues once before and the answer wasn't helpful, so I sent a more detailed description of the issue). I got an email saying support had replied to my ticket; however, when I checked on "View My Tickets", there was no additional answer, and the status was listed as "closed." WTF? Does that mean support isn't gonna answer my question? That sucks.
Thanks

As you have obviously used other crack versions by your above statement the underlying problem will probably be from those.

Invest in the software as you have invested in the rest of your gear, no good having a great set of wheels if you don't look after the engine.
