Hehe I joined VDJ and upgraded from LE in 2003, and the same things cropped up then as do now except instead of "VDJ don't work - I have trial 2.1" the message reads "VDJ don't work - I have trial 6.1"
Surely if you are using the software in a club you'll either be getting paid, so why not get the full version or you might just be crap. The trial versions of any software are for you to check out what it can do, and decide for yourself. It'd be like going to a car showroom, and asking for a test drive for a couple of months until you can either be bothered or can scrape together some menka to pay for it!
For me I was fortunate enough to be able to pay for it without ripping off the taxman or beating up grannies on a Saturday night.
I've never come across software which is released for free as a trial which does not come with some restrictions. Maybe they are restrictions based on how long you can use the trial for (i.e. 30 days) or with certain functions removed (such as save projects etc) or with AVS Video Editor with a watermark placed over the video.
Personally I like to ponce as much as I can get so the time restrictions are the one I really don't like. I can live with a watermark over the video output from AVS - afterall I've not paid them anything. I can live without saving sound files, as I can record anyway so audio editing for me is fantastically free. But time limits... I mean come on! I've used your software - I even went and d/led the stuff! How much more do you want? A pint of blood? And now the 30 days are up. *sob*
So rather than get annoyed at people who post saying they can't do this or they can't do that because they found a trial version on a torrent somewhere, sit back and put your feet up and tell them over and over and over just what a knob they are, but in a polite gentle way, and that the things they want to do need software version 6, not the version 3 they found in May 2010.
Anyhoo, my little post is coming to a close, and I would like to point out for those who think I'm weird, that although I'm not weird - I am just full of character ;o) and this post is meant to be taken in a light-hearted joking way. If it offends you, upgrade to pro!
