When a file has been scanned from VDJ is the info stored on to the database file or those it store some where else.

The info is stored in the VirtualDJ database only.
If you use external hard disks, these will have their own separate VirtualDJ database.

Thanks so correct me if I'm wrong I can take that external drive with all files scanned, connect it on to anther computer with VDJ, open VDJ & all file info is there?

As long as the drive is assigned the same drive letter on both computers. You may need to add the drive to search DB to search for the songs.

drive letter doesn't matter..(in my experience)...
my external drive shows up as F: on my desktop, and E: on my rackmount computer..
I've never had a problem with VDJ recongnising it (the external)..
