Topic: Advice on the best visuals to use..

Thanks for helping all working DJ's.I use music videos,virtual dj pro works great..When i play tracks without video,i need some better visuals..Can you please give me advice on the best visuals to use..

ok got the video plug in effects looking good but a lot to do while mixin also-i got the sonique download and its ok,looking for better visuals for mp3 tracks..
 
Having trouble with my CLIPBANK-i cant seem to load anything into the clip bank squares,keep getting an error in the boxes...
 
sounds like direct x is missing, is your other effects working ok

Yes,i use that sonique visual,works good,how do you get direct x and where does it go?
 
just google it and it will come through, then just saved it to C/

daft question but you did remember to activate clipbank.
 
the soniques really need to have an edit

mine are trimmed down to about 60 (from the original 84) and i will trim that back again

i almost always run the cube and you need visuals that fill the screen , or "reveal" the cube

i also have some of the shadow dancers ....gogo , lava lamp , and mistress kiki (very knotty, don't use at the sock hop)

the soniques can get boring fast if you ask me

making slideshows can be fun

there is a glitch with the shadow dancers(actually it's the clipbank , not the content) where when you

segue out of a video the shadow dancer will run at what looks like about 4x speed ??

( this applies to shadow dance clips that are in the clipbank)

the clipbank is glitchy especially if you use multiple clipbanks ....

the clipbank should work like jingle palette , but doesn't .....

some thoughts on video .....

these observations apply to 6.0.7 thru 6.1.1 , and 64 bit home premium Vista and windows 7 ......
 
Advice on what to put in clipbank and how to do it-it seems i need to load each square..do i load Sonique effects or download an effect?Thanks!|And i would be more than happy to pay for a good visual effect like G Force-any suggestions?
 
Hey ron i'll put up a couple of videos they may be of help to you, they need up dating as i did these some time back but they will help to give you an idea on what to do.



This next one is for the soniques, but remember to get the one that has already been edited by djcel, once you have loaded them go through the library and edit the others that you don't like or the ones that are a bit of a drain on the cpu, soniques are hogs and can crap your system out if your not careful, they have been around for years and years, same goes with the freeframe and vst's so you have a bit of a choice to choose from until the next best thing comes along which were all hoping won't be to long.



this is the printed version I did just in case the vid is to fuzzy...

Go into config > choose video tab > go down to the bottom right drop down window and select sonique, to the left make sure you tick the box, come out of config and select effects > select video tab > select sonique > select/click on activate > select open > this is where you go to where you have your sonique folder, now open the folder and double click on a file, this will now run your sonique effects. you can now play with the two sliders for the type of effect you want. slide show delay will give you how long each effect will run for and the transparency will let you fade the soniques over other effects like a video, show logo etc...

N.B If you have the time go through your individual soniques and delete the crappy ones, saves getting them up on the screen.

There are a few more tutorials in my blog spot if you happen to get stuck.

When your in the download section don't forget to get a copy of the Firetext VDJ plugin, got some neat effects combined in the plugin.

g force isn't a plugin

i've seen them ... i think they are good but i don't think they will work......
 
Older versions of G-Force had a Sonique version available, obtainable by renaming the DLL to SVP. I think the last one that supported Sonique was v2.8.1 but I can't remember for certain.
 
If they sold visuals upgrades ,like an app,i would buy it!
 
@chuckie....I see you dont frequent the plugins forums much,I know you're not ignoring the fact that I came along and Researched for 3 nites and found a pack of lots more soniques then saw that they included the 72 djCel certified but also a new type using bitmaps. now there has been a lot of confusion in this site about all this.meanwhile i've been enjoying lots of visuals (as much as were gonna get so far) but to clear things out AGAIN i then went looking for "FREEFRAMES" and turned "Beatbreaker" on to the links cause i didnt get time to get them all.more confusion aroused but the point is...in that pack (Visuals vs 2) of soniques there is also a Gforce "demo" that actually isnt a demo cause it will work for ever. and some advertising of the makers,well it turns out that you will get that even with the payd version.theres also another effect called" Whitecap so Ron you have hit the Effect LOTTO!! and like SBDJ sayd they have been rewriting as sonique svp files BUT this are also available as stand alone effects thought then they will only work win certain media players and not Virtual dj.the ones i've got you can get with a link from my Blogs in my Homepage and then follow instructions (just copy the files into sonique folder and the freeframes to the video effects folder of virtual DJ.I'll be macking some speacial bitmap soniques in the future so stay tuned! (man I've NEVER been so dis credited in my Life!!..jeeezz!) enjoy!
