I have a mic connected to the mic port on the front of my presonus firebox. The mic shows a signal through the mac book when you switch the system preferences to presonus firebox. However, nothing can be heard through the mic when it is attached to the amp and speakers. I turned the knobs up all the way and you can see that the mic wants to clip out but nothing can be heard at all. I have tried the phantom power button as well and no dice. What could be the problem. I need the mic for a gig coming up.

open your mixer and see if it's on bypass, you'll have to check the other box beside it. i think it's something like main . . or channel 1/2 .. below when it says mix to the lower left .
