hi can anyone tell me if theres anything really obvious im overlooking, i have all my songs on an external hdd, and while trying to get vdj working correctly ive done numerous windows 7 clean re installs, but before i did i copied all of my vdj files onto a flash drive.

now ive reinstalled vdj back off the flash drive all my cue points are missing.

does vdj save these to drive c or the external hdd? and is there a way to get my cue points back?

if i go back into browser > database it only picks up drive c even though externall hdd f: is shown in the left pane?

All the data VDJ collects (tags, cue points, BPM's, etc etc) are all stored in .XML databases
The primary one is stored in my documents/virtual DJ
if you also use an external drive a .xml database will be created on that drive (allowing you to hot swap your drives between computers)

ok thanks for that.

well having had a look my hard drive has virtual dj local database v6 on it, then says xml files.

but vdj still doesnt pick up drive f in the database and still no cue points......

did you save/backup the original .xml database files BEFORE you re-installed windows?

i dragged the entire vdj folder across from drive c to my flash drive, so i assumed everything would come with it. i compared what i had on my flash drive to that i had on drive c, then reinstalled windows 7, dragged everything back across onto drive c?

i also have, like you say, a local database on drive c and f.
