MEP7000 and DJM5000 arrived yesterday to work with my Mac/VDJ. No issues with cds at all, that all works fine but unfortunately i didnt buy it for cd use or id be happy.
VDJ USE
I have downloaded drivers for MEP7000 from Pioneer and set all the options in ultilities/midi set up on mac to MEP 7000 A
Iv set output in sound set up to external mixer and sound card to mono separated and MEP 7000 A. There are options for MEP 7000 B but i have no idea what B is.
The skin on VDJ is working fine with the MEP but the first issue is with the DJM5000, I am only getting sound through VDJ when its set to CD on the mixer, i expected that to be set to digital. Also only CH1 is functioning on the mixer, not CH2 or the crossfader so when you trigger the other deck on the MEP you can hear both tracks, the only way to mix seems to be by doing it on VDJ skin rather than the mixer itself which makes the mixer completely pointless for this purpose and the whole process totally confusing.
Iv got a busy run of gigs coming up and am already contemplating selling what iv brought and going back to the hercules rmx, what makes matters worse is that none of the built in Sound effects on the MEP work with VDJ which is extremely uncool and there seems no way to beat match anything on the MEP by pressing one button so this has to be done via VDJ sync button. Also when i plug a USB device into the MEP it doesnt show up so am assuming also that this feature doesnt work.
Is there any answer to this before i throw in the towel?

You can re-map any button you want for the sync from the config menu of VDJ.
