Topic: Minimum specs for MacBook & V7

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I'm looking to pick up a pair of Numark V7s this week and I have one concern... will my MacBook be up to par? The specs for using the V7 on a MacBook are as follows:

Mac OS X 10.6
32-bit: Intel processor, 1.8GHz Core Duo; 1GB RAM
64-bit: Intel processor, 2.4GHz Core Duo; 4GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.5 / 10.4.11
Intel processor, 1.8GHz Core Duo; 1GB RAM

My 3 year old MacBook is... 64-bit: Intel processor, 2.4GHz Core Duo; 4GB RAM... which exactly matches the minimum specs. I'm fearful that because I'm just on the borderline that I may have performance issues. I always have more peace of mind when my machine exceeds the minimum specs, nor matches them. Is anyone using the V7 with a minimum specs machine smoothly?

By the way, why do the minimum specs for a 32 bit Mac require a way slower minimum clock speed and a quarter of the RAM of a 64 bit Mac??? It seems backwards. It's like they're saying if you have an 4 year old 32-bit Mac you can get away with a slow clock speed and hardly any RAM, but if you have a brand new 2.4 gHz MacBook with 4 gigs of RAM you'd better keep your fingers crossed. I thought 64 bit was supposed to be more capable and efficient yet it looks as if 32 bit can get buy with a much smaller d**k.

If the V7 doesn't work properly because my MacBook just barely meets the minimum specs I'll be totally pissed off. Does someone have to buy a new MacBook every 24 months these days just to keep up???

That aught to be fine I use the black macbook. Just remember video performance depends on the graphics card in that mac.
