Are you using a DELL laptop? I've read a few posts on these boards that certain models have acpi issues.

We'll, i don't know what to do, should i do something with the "apci"driver i don't know

I wanted to delete the post above but i can't.

Hi Lee. The way to troubleshoot your problem with the quality of Virtual DJ's master tempo algorithm is definitely to solve this DPC problem; the checker is just that but having run the performance toolkit we now know what device drivers we need to adjust on your system - unfortunately, this is still a problem..

Are you running on an Intel or AMD platform? If you're running on an Intel platform you can try these drivers and turning off SpeedStep in your bios (if you have the option) - although I don't know how much affect this would have.

There is also the option to disable ACPI but you would lose all power saving features.

It is a Intel.

I downloaded the intel installer, and it did nothing. I researched and due to the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility detecting it was not needed nothing was installed.

I don't think there is a option, i couldn't see one but i searched it on the internet and changing the "processor power management" min state to 100%, max state 100% is supposed to be the same. From what i read. I did that.

I searched and on my computer there is no option to disbale "acpi" in bios, although, i checked right through device manager and in there there are 7 listings for acpi which iam not sure whether they will help if disabled. You said to disable acpi but in device manager it says "acpi fan" and a few other things. Iam guessing that this is not really something i want to do. Its not something that would have been disabled if i had the option to diable "acpi" ? Just saying it doesn't sound like something that should be done.

"DPC latency checker". Tested again after what you said and it still spiked in the red. I read up on DPC latency checker and became more familiar with it. I disabled both the intel and realtek network adapters and to my amazement it.. Tested for approx 12 minutes.
The Absolute maximum was 1218us. It averages at 150us min and about 1000us max approx, for some reason there was no middle at all? Don't know why. Could this be a factor, not sure?

Test results were alot better with no spikes in the red.

..I tried to create another account and disable drivers in that account hoping that they would not correspond to the "user account" but they did.
Was hoping this would work so i could switch between accounts when i wanted but can't couldn't.

Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks.

Lee.

Please Every One I need a Help I need activation key for my VDJ

You are at the homepage of the Atomix the creator of Virtual DJ. I don't think they give their software away for free **lol**

If you are using an illegal version of the software then that will be why you are experiencing problems. If this is the case, please support the software and its development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Also, check your computer for viruses and spyware which often accompany illegal software.

dude two things:

1. don't hijack threads
2. don't ask people who spent their money on getting a legit key to give them yours.

What is the difference between the intel(R) ICH9 family USB universal host controller and the USB root hub?

I want to disable some of these but don't know what they are

There is another thread in regards to a usb issue on the numark V7's spiking cpu usage. Though it is not directly the same issue it's worth checking out. Microsoft provided a hotfix for it, I belive the # is KB981214. link is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981214 here.

I installed windows 7, i got the HD completely reformatted with a fresh install.

Iam having the same problem as what you described "andrew87" in the thread you linked.

The ndsi.sys driver appears to be the same similar in max duration as what yours was although you did say that you upgraded to windows 7. I was wondering what you did to fix the problem, or if its the same as in windows 7 as vista or if you know how?

I disabled everything i could in device manager, ended all unnecessary processes, updated drivers, checked for old bad drivers everythn is up to date and new.

I used Hot CPU tester to test if there was any problems with the computer, it puts a load on the parts to see if they will give under strain and it held up so all main components seem to be working well.

So iam hoping that its just this driver that is the problem. BTW, the DPC lat tester is averaging around 80ms but them spikes to sometimes 10000ms.

Thanks.

Lee.

What should i do about the ndsi driver andrew87. You said u could get your windows XP down to 10ms thats sweet i cn get windows 7 down to avrg 80ms but still the odd spike in the red, do you have any idea what to do did you see the post above?

Sorry i really may have sounded like i wasn't listening before. Well i was i have been like that for years and didn't know. All is good now, i hope u can help "andrew87".

Iam just wondering if the ndsi driver would be affecting play and making a degredation in sound quality. As i said before it still spikes in the red every now and then . Iam not sure the affects this can have on play so iam asking you if you think it needs fixing? It sounds like it does i hope you can help.

P.s iam doing the best i can.

The BEST are my VOB's that use PCM audio (basically an uncompressed WAV)

Hi. I checked out VOB files and all i could understand was they are a DVD format file, to me that means that they are video and not souly audio.

I want to convert my CDs to VOB files but am unsure on how to do so. I was wondering if you could share what program you use and how you do it?
