I have tried recording just a loop from the song playing in "virtual dj" and it records fine but there are 2 problems i have. The first is is that when you record it seems to record the sample and play it back at original BPM so when you press on the sample to play it it goes out of time and it all ends up sounding like a train wreck!
The second problem is that when you press the sample to play it and say the song is at original BPM if you play the sample you have to press it right at the exact time otherwise it is out of time and there is no sync button for the the recorded sample to sync it back up with the song that is playing.

The answer to your first problem is go into the sample browser and click on the options button (little circle on upper right of the sample bank) and select "Match Pitch".
As for triggering the sample on beat, well that one comes down to having rhythm. It's up to the user to trigger the sample on beat, no too hard really, and not something you should expect the software to quantize for you.

Mate, have you tired triggering the loop on beat when you trying to do 5 -10 other things and need the sample to go on beat right when you press it or near enough so you can just sync it back in then sound the loop. I really don't think the software reacts exactly every time you press the sample button. Every time i press it may be on, but very rarely, hardly ever on exactly, needs a sync button for sure.
Thats why you have a sync button for the song. Its not like you want to wait for the song to go right on beat every time you press it to hopefully sync with the other song. Its the same as the loop, you just want to be able to press the sample button and get it close enough for a quick sync. Is this possible? If so it should definitely be a priority on the VDJ wish list.

Thats why you have a sync button for the song. Its not like you want to wait for the song to go right on beat every time you press it to hopefully sync with the other song. What i mean is when your playing sorry i didn't make myself very clear sorry.
If your playing and record a sample you want to be able to trigger the sample out of the speakers and like i've tried and i can't get the sample to go on perfectly everytime, i don't know if your just good, but like i can't do it i can get it very close which is why i think if you could add a sync button to the "rec" feature it would be great because then if you trigger the sample live out of the speakers you can sync it quickly without having the audience notice that the sample is slightly off for a second.
My vocabulary lacks a lil.
