Hi guys I hope you can help as I have been playing around with my setup for ages trying to get it to work. I have always djed using vinyl but bought the Hercules RMX and have been using VirtualDj and swap between vinyl and mp3 with the RMX hooked up to my external mixer
It has been working fine but thought I would hook up my PADKONTROL to my setup for cuing up points etc - I couldnt quite figure it out with the mapping and although I tried following some of the guides on mapping I gave up. However, since unplugging the PadKontrol I get a really loud background noise like streaming data coming through the channels - it is constantly there even with VDJ closed (although with it open I can hear what sounds like data transfer - not a high pitch noise but a bit like the old loading noises on Commodore 64 games as the tones vary).
Doing a quick search suggests people with a similar problem have been recommeded a ground loop isolator but I didnt have this problem prior to plugging the PadKontrol (usb directly in to PC port running Winning XP) so not sure why it would start now?
Is there anything else I could try? I ask this as I did have a spare isolator and although it has reduced the noise on one of the channels there is still a noticeable background hum and I still get the noise on the other channel?

Hi there,
I just noticed your post and i had a similar problem as yours and it started out of the blue with no explanation and i was unable to solve it. BUT...
I have a way to stop it without comprimising on sound quality.
You need to get yourself a multiplug, a simple double one and remove the group metal pin, so you are left with only the two power pins. Plug the equipment to this multi plug, and the multi pliug in to yoru socket (use a knife or pen to open the bottom bits to plug the modified adlapter and the interference should stop...
Let me knwo how you get on..
PS - if you are worried abotu the above i only use RMX controller with this adpater everywhere and never had a problem..
