Why is it that when I click on my Karaoke folder in the explorer window of VDJ to view or add to database, the computer freezes for 3 to 5 minutes? The output screen will continue to play, but my laptop is frozen. I can move the mouse around, but nothing on VDJ works.
Years ago, I had this probvlem and set up a (I think it's called a filter folder) special folder that just inde3xes the karaoke files. I am able to instantly find and play files from that folder. Recenrtly however, I added a bunch of new Karaoke files (CDG+MP3) and clicked on the Karaoke folder where they are located to right click annd add them to the search database. Well after 10 minutes, the karaoke folder and it's contents finally showed in the record case and I added the new files. I can see them in the record case for the actual Karaoke folder, but they do not show up in the Virtual or filter Karaoke folder. Last night someone asked for Justin Beiber, which I just added, and I could not find it in the filter folder. When I clicked on the actual karaoke folder to find it, VDJ locked up for 5 minutes until the program was able to complete it's scan. Thank god I was playing along side a DJ and he was able to play some music, or else the music would have stopped abruptly once the karaoke file that was playing ended.
Is there a fix for this? How can I update the filter or virtual; folder to see the new Karaoke trracks added? Is there a way yet to solve the freezing issue with accessing the actual Karaoke folder in the VDJ explorer window?

maybe you should create a Help ticket, Just click on support/help tab, then select ask a question, then submit it to VDJ team, and they are very quick in responding. make sure you give them all of your computer spec's and all external hardware spec's and version of VDJ. Give it a try

Go into Config and Re-Scan your drives, once done check your folder to see if the files have BPM info in them if they don't then highlight the files that don't and scan all of them, another thing you can do is right click on the folder and Add them to the Search Database.
