Im looking to buy a projector, however, i need one that will have a very wide angle, i need to have it ideally 3 feet from the screen which is 68 inches diagonally.

There aren't many that can be up so close unless you don't mind the image being smaller... Is there even such a thing?

I dont think that there is such a projector in the market. I guess you want to rear projecting. So you have to be a little creative, like this guy.. He uses mirror(s) to double(triplle) the distsance between screen and projector.

Benq MP 515ST, very good price, you can use it 4:3 or 16:9 it has decent 2500 lumens and you can trow from a very short distance. This is the one I use when the space is tight.

NEC WT610 (every expensive, but you never know you might see one cheap on ebay).
I use this and it's fantastic, very bright and amazing short throw. 100" picture from about 2 feet away.

I like the look of the BenQ MP515ST. Not badly priced either for a short throw projector. Having just bought my first projector on ebay (an InFocus IN2102) I am only just strting to learn about distance vs. size...
However, I need to be able to make sure that people will pay the extra for video before investing in something like this.
Cheers,
Roy

I have a BenQ MP771 (short throw) and a Hitachi ED-A100 (ridiculously short throw). Both have their uses but the Hitachi can fill a 6' wide screen from a few inches away, and gives great picture quality. I bought it (very) nearly new from eBay for about £600.
You can check out the throw distance, screen size, etc. of most projectors using the projector calculator here: http://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm
Offering video definitely helps to get more, and better gigs. You need to have plenty of good quality content to make it worthwhile though.
There are some photos showing my video stuff in action in the galllery on my website if you want to check them out: http://www.brightlightsentertainment.co.uk/gallery.php

DJRAZA,
Ther are many projectors out there that will work for you. You are looking for "Short Throw" or "Ultra Short Throw" projectors. I have a Hitachi right here beside me. I also have used the Sanyo ones. They are designed to throw a wall filling image but only be 2-3 feet from a wall or screen. They are designed for interactive smart boards. They normally mount on a short arm that comes out above the screen. They are sometimes referred to as "Short Focus" projectors

For example, the Sanyo PLC-WL2500 will give you an 80 inch image at only 34 inches from the screen.
Check them out.

BenQ's MP776ST
If I had to buy another one (I currently use the MP771), THAT would be the projector I would buy..
