Topic: Running Video and 6.1 for a gig...

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Whats up everyone, i just booked a gig for next thursday and the event coordinator wants me to run video during my set. I haven't done a video gig since 5.2 when i still had my pc. Now i am running a MBP with a 2.66 processor and 4gb of ram. I have been fooling around with the setup at home and have noticed that the cpu usage is almost half and this is without my controller and soundcard hooked up to the MBP. Both my controller and soundcard have their own power supplies but i am still concerned. Is this normal for it to be this high, when i am only running audio its barely one bar from the lowest point but not when im running video. Any suggestions?

It's normal. I have the same CPU and RAM and have no problems running videos all night long with a controller and external firewire soundcard daisychained with external firewire hard drives. Just test the sistem in your house for 4 hours straight or something like that before your gig, just to be safe.

Good luck.

ok, thanks, yea last night i ran it for like 2 hours with my external hd hooked up and it seemed to stay in the same spot. I'm going to try to set everything up tonight and run it for some time and see what happens

out of curiousity what video card does your macbook pro have?
