Topic: 2 controllers same time vdj crash

Just got Evolution UC33E (very rare since been discontinued, anyway).

When both Hercules RMX and UC33e ON (powered) same time while vdj open, when I want to close vdj, it freezes.
If UC33e turned off, all is ok, it closed just fine.

Someone has a solution? I need both powered same time.

Have you tried changing MIDI channel for the UC33e ?

You are using the most recent drivers for everything ?
 
I know I have latest drivers for Everything I own.

How do I change midi channel ?
 
I think the UC33e should have a control panel/software of some sort where you can modify the settings for the device.
 
***RESOLVED TOPIC***

First - You can change midi channel of Hercules Rmx :

Start -­­ Control Panel - Hercules DJ Series (aka Hercules Control Panel) - Advanced

Midi Channel for controls = Change number to preferred channel
(Most Device use channel 1 as default)
(New channel should not cause any interference otherwise there's already a device using it)



Second - You can change Evolution Uc33e midi channel :

Start - M-Audio - Enigma - Import Device setting (down arrow)

View - Control Editor - Control Details - Channel
Change number as preferred

Click Extra Variables - Global Channel
Choose same number from ''control details'' = channel
Use ''X'' marker to close Editor

Use ''Up Arrow'' to send data to device
Wait until Sysex complete
Close Enigma



Third - Primary Problem

If you're using an USB Hub don't use conflicting device same time on same usb hub.
I use an USB port from laptop for Hercules RMX.
UC33e plugged into usb hub.

Follow third action it should solve your situation.
 
If you change the default MIDI channel of a natively supported controller then VirtualDJ may no-longer be able to detect that controller.
