Hello all!! I'm trying to write a controller xml file for a VCI 100 with the djtechtools firmware version 1.3 on it. I know that one exists already, but I'm trying to learn how to develop my own custom one.
I've been able to get the sliders and knobs to function correctly. VDJ will recognize them, with the names I've given them in the controller file, and allows me to assign them however I wish in the mapper. The problem I'm having is with any of the buttons on the VCI 100. I can't get them to be recognized by VDJ.
As an example of what I've done, I'll use the button on the bottom of the VCI 100, on the far left. I call this the 'slice' button, as this is how it's labeled on djtechtools latest mapping. This is what I have in the XML file:
<button note="D3" name="slice" deck="1" />
I've double checked the note value using bomes and midiox, and the D3 value is correct. I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem might be. As I said, all of the sliders (volume, pitch, crossfader) and the eq and fx knobs are working correctly. I just can't get the buttons to work. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
