Topic: Mix Lab V3.1 Skin "Error In Video Driver"

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I downloaded VirtualDJ on my computer a few months ago. It was the full version for free, which I know was completely wrong but I really wanted to try it out for awhile before making a "big" investment, and I planned on purchasing the product (which I have now done) Also I was trying to see if my DJ business was going to work out or not before burning the $299 which is a lot to a college student.

My business did work out. So I uninstalled it, and today I purchased the full version from this site (Version 6.0.8), and after downloading it I can open it up and everything, but there's an issue with one of the skins (Mix Lab V3.1: Mix Lab V3.1), which I really really want to use. It says "error in the video drive" if I try to use it.

I noticed on my desktop the original folder from the "free" one I downloaded is now back (called (Pattonfiend67)Virtual.DJ.5.2.Pro.PF67)) I can't get rid of it or else VirtualDJ wont open. It contains all the skins and files for Virtual DJ.

Any help as to why it's bringing that old folder back, or why the copy of VDJ I bought is using that folder for all its files? I really want to use this skin. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the folder keeps returning.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Also, If I close the lid of my laptop and my computer essentially hibernates, when I return to my desktop and try to open VirtualDJ I get the sane "error in video driver" message. The program will work again if I shut down & restart my computer completely.

Also I'm using a Dell Inspiron 6000 with Windows XP

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately installing cracked software can and will screw up your system. I don't know how to fix this, but maybe someone else can help. Ultimately the best way will be to do a complete reinstall of the OS to get rid of the bad installation. Hopefully you will have learned a valuable lesson from this ......

Yea I definitely learned my lesson, but at the time my hands were tied with so much shit going on and I spent my last bit of money on other equipment. I do regret it but at the time it seemed my only option and I apologize for doing it that way.

GadgetMan - First off thanks for the response. I uninstalled and removed all signs of VirtualDJ, I downloaded the tool and did "clean all" and it removed everything. When I did the fresh install, that folder I said was coming up disappeared and instead a VirtualDJ folder was under "My Documents" like it's supposed to be. Everything seemed just peachy. The only issue I have is when I try to apply the Mix Lab V3.1 skin, it still gives me the "Error in the video driver" message. Only for that skin.

Any fix for this?

The skin was made for version 5, so there may be a compatibility issue.

I sometimes use Vmix 5.4 which does seem to work with V6 pretty well, you can try that one here. It's very comprehensive with multiple pannel views.

Otherways you could try sending a PM to Matt (DJ Format) who composed the mixlab skin and see if he can help with your issue. He is a pretty busy guy so may not respond straight away.

I sent him a PM, but I really like that skin, since it has the two volume controls and the equalizer crossfader at the top too. Are there any other skins set up that way?

Actually one of the versions of the 3.1 worked, its not the exact same but it'll do.

Cool, glad you're sorted :)

I use the MixLab3.1 skin all the time as it does video as well as audio... By far my favourite skin. Works in 6.0.7 no problem. Haven't progress to .8 yet!

I am still using Mix lab version2,in VDJ 6.08.
Works for me all the time.
