Topic: Numark Omni Control - Midi Mapping problems

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hello Community,

I'm using the newest version of Virtual Dj Pro in combination with my new hardware "Numark Omni Control".

The installation was simple and the main functions (Play, loudness..) work well.
But I got problems with setting acurate Loops in Songs by using "Loop in" and "Loop out".
Also the effect buttons on the Omni don't work all the time.

All in all it seems to me that the Midi mapping is very buggy.

When I use the Traktor LE Version which was delivered together with the Omni Control everything works fine...

I also tried another Midi Mapping from the downloadcenter (gonzales) - but also this one was without success.

Does anybody here uses Omni Control with Virtual DJ and has no problems with Loops, Effects... ?!

Greetings

I am having the same problem
loop in does nothing, loop out is a hot cue
the effects are lacking simplicity and why does the right side effects fast foward the pfl song
I dont know, I am defly confused...let me know what you find out
Its already annoying me and I have had it for 2 hrs
Numark says to set it up your way in config, but you would think there was a simple mapper out there

Has anyone ever managed to solve this - I'm having the same issue - the only mappers available for the omni control don't work well at all - the native one doesn't allow the effects to work on the right side of the decks - some knobs actually change the tempo on the left deck

Have yiu tried remapping the controls your having issues with? Pretty easy to do. After that does the problem persist?

I have tried to map - but I'm a novice when it comes to programming and haven't as yet managed to get it working for me :-(

Can anyone please help me with this - I'm at a complete loss

The 'native' map for the omni control makes absolutely no sense and I don't know how to map

:-(

I'm no expert either, but you can simply go into the mapper section on config, hit key learn then touch a button or twist a knob, then click action learn. It will go back to the skin, at that point click the item you would like that button or knob to control. If you've done that and the problem persists then it could be a latency issue. I was having some problems with my ddjsx, and figured out that some portions of the mapper were causing problems with the controller in general. The devs are working to correct it, and I'm waiting in limbo until they do. Hopefully one of the more skilled vdj mappers will get on this thread and offer more help.

As far as the loops are concerned, are you setting them manually like pressing in and out, or setting predetermined loops like a 4 beat or 8 beat. When you set a loop is it being set too long after you pressed the button? Has vdj correctly analyzed the tracks tempo?

With the effects, is it acting as though you hit the button twice, so its like on/off, or not at all?

If after trying to remap those functions the problem persists, try resetting the mapper in the bottom left corner of the mapper section. Then delete sections of the mapper other than the ones your testing until the item works correctly. I figured out that if I deleted the slicer section and one other mapping for the volumes led, the unit worked perfectly. Before deleting those sections the platters and faders worked, but seemed like they were made out of rubber, after those sections were gone everything was nice and tight. Sometimes the buttons would act like I had hit them twice instead of once. I really like the slicer, but I can live without it for now. The devs have told me there seems to be an issue with vdj and the leds on the DDJSX. Maybe its something similar on your controller.
