I'll try to keep it short and sweet. I just got the Korg NanoKontrol. It's awesome I have everything mapped how i want it. Only problem is the buttons on my RMX are triggering my Sample Volume silders and reseting them to Zero ever time I press play or stop. Also on the other deck the Kill low button is triggering a sample. Then on the other deck the kill high on my rmx is reseting my effects parameter 1 knob to zero as well. I downloaded both NanoKontrol mappers and scene sets from the tools section, but they are both doing it. I realize its sending the same midi command but how can I remap the nano to fix this? I tried reseting my hercules with no luck. Could anyone help me with this. Oh I also use the korg nanoPad, all 12 buttons x 4 mapped out with no problems. Is there a way to map each scene on the nanoKontrol like this? Thanks so much for your time! I have a really important gig Wed, so I was hoping to fix it by then, but if not I can definatly do without it.

I had the same problem, you have to go into the Korg Editor and hit whatever button or slider is doing it and change the "CC/Note Number" to something different. Its acting that cause they both are sharing the same number. As far as mapping out a different scene I am going to be trying that next. I got a question for you now, when you trigger an effect the light goes on, right? Now when you turn it off does the light go off or do you have to press it again (A totol of 3 times being pressed)? Here is what I posted but got no answer yet, http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/127989/Hardware_Technical_Support/Korg_nanoKontrol_users____________.html,
That should fix your problem

Its strange on mine the top ones all stay lit until your press it again, but the bottom ones only light up while held down. Back to my initial question though is how do you change the Note or CC number or whatever on the pad, this is what I've been trying to figure out, Also is there some that would be better to use than others. EG one that would absolutely not be mapped to something else. Thanks bro!

Ok, I'll try to explain it the best I can.
1: open the Korg Kontrol Editor
2: find what ever button, slider or knob that you want to change and click on it. Some things should pop up at the bottom of the screen.
3: Find where it says "CC/NOTE NUMBER" and click on the "+" or "-" symbol to change the number. Do this to all of the buttons, sliders or knobs that you need to change.
4: Go to the top and click on "COMMUNICATION".
5: Then click on "WRITE SCENE SET" and when the box pops open click "OK".
6: Repeat step "4" and then click on "WRITE SCENE DATA" and when the box pops open click "OK".
7: Then click on "FILE" and click "SAVE AS". You then give it a name and hit "SAVE" and close out the Editor.
To change them, BUTTON BEHAVIOR, follow these steps;
1: open the Korg Kontrol Editor
2: find what ever button you want to change and click on it. Some things should pop up at the bottom of the screen.
3: Find where it says "BUTTON BEHAVIOR" and click on the box next to it. It should open up and say "TOGGLE (stay lit until your press it again) /MOMENTARY (only light up while held down)", choose how you want the button to react.
I only figured this out Friday night and from what I can tell this is how you make changes.
I hope this helps out, let me know cause if it does I should make a video for others.

What your saying makes perfect sense, only problem is how do you know what notes to change it to. When I switch then they no longer function in VDJ, Also is there a Spreadsheet of graph that lables the CC# or notes that each RMX button is assigned to?

Yeah I'm sorry I forgot to say that, you have to go back into VDJ and remap your buttons, sliders or knobs that you changed. I was doing the whole process as I was typing and didnt think to go back into VDJ.

I dont use the RMX so I cant answer that question. I have mapped out my mixer (Ecler NUO4) and the nanoKontrol my self, I didnt like the mappers either 1 had in the download section. But what I noticed was that when I wanted to map (I did it the "SIMPLE MIDI WRAPPER" way) a new button, slider or knob if it had the same # when I pressed "ADD NEW KEY" the # would show up under "KEY" (top of the MAPPERS section in config) and in the "ACTION" section the action would show up as well. I wouldnt have to type it in, so I knew that I had to change the #.
I'm assuming that for your RMX your using a map/def from the download section?? If so I would not change that but just change the #'s for the nanoKontrol. It seems like it would be alot easier.
Hope that makes sense.............
