Topic: Having trouble with cueing to my headphones

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hello,
I am completely new to DJing and need help with my new setup. I am using a VCI-100, a Presonus Firebox, and a Denon x1600 mixer with a Denon 3700 as well. With my headphones plugged into the mixer, I am only getting sound in them when the volume is up on the VCI-100. Would greatly appreciate some help, thanks so much....any suggestions about improving/simplifying the setup welcome as well!

BTW, about to purchase a license (switching from Traktor to VDJ) but want to make sure it will work well for me;)

Hello djsoulpoet,

What you get depends how you have connected your audio outputs and set VirtualDJ.
Have you the following audio setting?

1) In VirtualDJ > Config > Audio Setup panel
- Inputs: None
- Outputs: External Mixer
- Sound Card: 4.1
- Output channels: Left Deck: Front output / Right Deck: Rear Output

2) Connect to your mixer
- the ouput of your CD player on input Line 1 (CD1)
- Firebox output 1-2 on input Line 2 (CD)
- Firebox output 3-4 on input Line 3 (CD)

Thanks, this was helpful but not sure if solved yet: I followed these steps for the setup...the cueing is only working in the headphones when the volume faders are up on each deck. I'm wondering if that is how it works when using an external mixer. If so, it seems a little confusing but I'm sure I could get used to it....just checking, thanks so much!
