I want a silence in my automix how do I do it. It always skips over my .wav files of 22 secs of silence.

is this a serious question, why would you want dead air between tracks. it's a djs worst nightmare!!!

Silence needed to.
To chat to the crowd, I am also using it to record sessions, which can then be played on the radio. Also good for solo instrumental intros, so there should be a facility to put 4 bars of silence, or 20 beats of silence bassed on the bpm of a song. Etc.

I think you are looking for radio automation software, that feature is available on some I have demoed in the past.

This software is Virtual DJ, and most DJ's that want to leave a gap in the music do so manually and not as part of a pre made set.

Another option would be to use a mixer with a microphone "talkover switch". Or, just toggle the line/phono switch on your mixer while you talk. This way you can hit the switch, talk, then immediately hit the switch when you're done talking, rather than have to time what you're saying to equal to the length of some 4 bar pre-set dead air time. I'm not trying to shoot down your request for a feature, I just think that if the feature did come to fruition you'd quickly find that having to time what you say over a pre-set dead air gap is a lot more difficult than just hitting a switch, talking, and hitting a switch again.

That is not better for a musician with rythmn and timing.

And DJs don't have timing? Your request will not likely see the light of day because it is too niche.

Here's a couple of options:

1. Take Automix out of SMART mode. In this mode, VDJ actively looks to remove silence.

2. If you still want SMART mode, in the BPM dialog there is a tab where you can overide the automix in/out values, so you should be abel to keep your silence.

Cheers,

Roy
