I'm using Virtual DJ for the first time tonight, and have a few questions. I'd like to see if anyone could give some advice.

First, is there a way to see what you've played during the session? It helps to see how things have flowed and when to change the directions the music is headed.

Second, what about putting a "stop mix" command in the playlist? As you load the list there's certain places where you know you will want to stop, and it would be nice to put these in ahead of time.

And one more thing right now, is there a way to move the cue point on the song playing, other than trying to put your cursor on the visible line and moving it while the song is playing? This is very dangerous sing if you're not exactly on the point, the song will move to that point in the song.

Thanks for the help.

you can review what you've played using the History tab on left hand side. dont know about the other thing you mentioned though...

Ok, I wasn't sure if you could view the history while the show was going on. I'll check that out.

Here's another problem, which is similar to one of the other that I posted. While having the playlist loaded and playing, I went out of the "auto mix" to say something, then when I clicked on the "auto mix" on, it seems it should have picked up with the next song I wanted played. Instead I think it went to the song that was just completed. Is there a solution for this? Thanks.

I believe you need to check "Songs Disappear as played" or it something like that.
Hope this helps.

Instead of disengaging the automix to say something, just pause the track.

Without going to a history tab, songs you played will turn the icon to the left of the title red.

Sounds to me like you are playing purely from automix. Is this true? Also as others said you simply need to pause - not stop - at the point you want to break the music.

How are you controlling VDJ? Keyboard & Mouse? MIDI Controller? Cue points are set by trial and error. You can play the track to the desired point then juggle backwards and forwards until you find the right point - by listening in your headphones - then set the cue point.

Thanks for the reponses. I never thought pausing the music when I need to say something. And yes, I'm playing just about exclusively in automix. I do not have any outboard controllers, only using a touch pad.
