Topic: Hercules MK2 Mac VDJ Pro, Song load problem

my problem is this.... if i have a song playing on one of the two tracks it doesn't matter which one... and i pick another song that i'm going to load to that track and i hit the button on the MK2 to load the song to the track i get the pop up saying, a song is already playing on this track are you sure you want to load this song to this track.... etc. and gives you a choice to hit Okay or Cancel... well if i hit okay Virtual DJ freezes and crashes... if i hit Cancel the song that was playing continues to play as it should but virtual DJ Freezes and crashes... it has done this 100% of the time if i do this... now if i manually click and drag the song on the virtual DJ software this message pops up and states the same "a song is already playing on this track are you sure....." and if i hit okay or cancel it works no freeze... it only causes a freeze and crash if i use the button on the MK2 to load a track which i always use since thats one of the features i bought it for. i have posted this before and was told to upgrade to the latest version of Virtual DJ and i am using the latest version... and i reposted and got no response so i am here again posting..

also randomly when playing songs my timecoded vinyls will just stop... meaning for some reason randomly whilst a song is playing sometimes the timecodes just aren't syncd to the system anymore without any changes to settings or anything and i have to go into the settings while the song is playing and click apply on my setup for the timecodes to start working again... not sure what that is all about either. so far not very happy

This is a new one the Security options to disable will prevent the message but you have to be careful you don't load the live deck then. As far as the sound is concerned did you update to the latest Hercules drivers?
 
yes i've checked many times on the hercules website there is a firmware upgrade and driver upgrades.. i've downloaded and installed both... but just to be sure, so you say i can disable that security feature in the options? i will have to check that out... the main issue with that i have is that i'll have two tracks both playing but only one has volume up so you can only hear one usually when i'm done with one song and ready to load another and i forget to stop the track thats got volume faded down silent and i try to load a track and then boom my whole system freezes and the crowd isn't very happy :[ lol...

about the timecode issue i'm using traktor timecoded vinyl with the MK2 and VDJ pro and like i said it seems randomly the timecodes are just turned off, even tho there still spinning and song was playing on them but when i try to scratch nothing as if the program just took over randomly... i'm not sure what i do is there someway maybe i'm turning them off on the MK2? like by hitting a certain button. and then to get them back on i go into the config and just click the APPLY button where it shows my timecode my mk2 and the setup and there back on.. i don't mind going in and having to hit apply every 15 minutes or so when it happens just not sure why it's happening

im pretty new to all this, but I noticed that it would crash if I said "yes" to changing the song while another was playing in that deck. But I also noticed how not to get the message at all. It only comes up if the crossfader is NOT 100% on the opposite side. Meaning if you want to change the song in deck A (even if song is halfway done), and you are already playing a different song (currently playing in deck B), make sure that the crossfader is ALL the way to the RIGHT, or all the way to the side of the deck in which the current song is playing. Hope that help something.
