Topic: Snow Leopard, sound card and timecodes

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I've migrated over to mac with a new MB Pro running Snow Leopard. I was using a Maya44 USB with my PC which is OK for outputs under VDJ 6.0.7, however the inputs are just not working and from what I can gather (correct me if I'm wrong) there are problems for all ESI cards under Snow Leopard.

So, my questions are:

- What soundcard can be recommeded for this setup? I've been looking at:
M-Audio Fast Track Ultra
M-Audio Connectiv (horrible design and plasticky, but does have the photo preamp bypass in it which is handy)
Hercules Trim (anyone advise on the sound quality of this card?)
Edirol FA-101

- Has anyone had success with timecode bypass? I've tried this using the Maya on my PC but the sound quality playing vinyl through the PC was awful. I have a couple of phono switches to physically bypass the signal to the mixer, but it would be easier if I didn't have to use these

Thanks a lot
