Hi guys, is it possible to map the Akai LPD8 midi controller to activate various clips in "Clip Bank". And what are my chances of getting a camera input added to the video effects menu?


Hopefully the warbling issues with my Denon S3700 controller will be worked out so i can start using 6.0.7 soon...

... and mapping the Clipbank can only be done to activate it and not pick which effect to use.

Yes, we are working on the issue ....
 
Glad to hear the issue is being worked on... Not that i had any doubts. :-) I have no problem activating clip bank using my Denon controller in 5.2.1. I was hoping there was a way to change clips using the pads without having to open the effects window to point and click.

You can map buttons or keyboard shortcuts to the following:

video_fx_select 'ClipBank' & video_fx_button 1

(To map the other 11 clips, change the button number appropriately.)

And the following to toggle clipbank itself on/off:

video_fx_select 'ClipBank' & video_fx

I am very new to VDJ7... just bought basic version for now and just picked up LPD8 controller by AKAI

My needs are really simple... I just want to cue up music tracks on 4 decks and be able to click Pad 1-4 to play deck 1-4.. simple enough? Possible?

I also would like to have the other 4 pads to run sound effects/sampler selections.

Is that all possible through the Pro Version and downloading the mapper for the LPD8 Controller (I have tried to download it but it says my license level does not allow me :-\ )

Any input is appreciated!

Sorry, VirtualDJ Pro Basic does not support any external MIDI controllers. It is for mixing using your mouse and keyboard only.

To use external controllers, you will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Mappers and tools can only be downloaded registered licensed VirtualDJ Pro users.

In future, please also open your own new topic rather than bumping an old one from last year.
