This is a CD player. These decks are not midi. Any cd player can be used with time code cds. After you buy two of these.. All you need is just a soundcard. You can use the M-Audio Conectiv. Its really good and sounds excellent

My advice in Cortex HDTT5500... DON'T Buy it. It is useless for VirtualDJ or any DJ program because it is not MIDI or HID device. It is only for USB Harddisk and usb memory drives, but still a player, in this case like a CD-Player but getting the music from external hard disk or usb memory drives.

Best go for Any Pioneer CDJ-400, or 900 or 2000 or Denon DN-1200, 3700. Or if you want something less expensive, then you can go for HC-4500 or Vestax VCI-100 or Hercules DJConsole RMX or Steel or DJControl MP3 e2.

From the above he already has these players.

Simply put the timecode MP3 file http://www.virtualdj.com/products/timecode/cd.html onto USB media.

Then all you need to do is hook them up to a suitable 4-in/4-out ASIO sound card such as Hercules DJ Trim, Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, ESI Maya44 USB, etc.

You will also need VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Timecode use is limited to 10-15 minutes per session in the trial.

Many thanks for the help jpboggis. I'll go spend all the money on everything now that I have an idea. Thanks again to everyone who replied I'll let you know how it works out.

Is the Maya 44 compatible with Windows 7 ?
