Topic: Help With "mix_now" Verb

Hello,

I am looking for a verb to do the following:

I am playing from a playlist and have "Automix" enabled.
The song is currently playing on deck 1
I would like to "Automix" to the next track on the playlist, prior to the song reaching the end (for example half way through the track)
I would like the next song in the playlist to play on the same deck (deck 1)

In reading through the list of verbs, I found the following verb:
mix_now : Smoothly crossfade from one side to the other, using beatsync if both songs have enough beat.

According to the description, that verb will mix from one deck to the other. I would like to just continue on the playlist while staying on the same deck.

Could somone point me in the right direction.

Can't test right now. Assumeing that "mix_now" did not work as you would not make a post if it did what you wanted. First, wouldn't the next song from the playlist already be loaded below the playing song in deck 1, if you are in automix mode? You could probably use these if you can live with not doing all of the mixing on 1 deck (not as you wanted, but may be close):

automix_dualdeck : enable or disable automix using both decks (deprecated).

mix_next : if the non-playing deck has a song loaded that's already been played, load a new one from the playlist. then, smoothly crossfade from the playing deck to the other, using beatsync if both songs have enough beat.

Or are you trying to unload that next song (loaded below the playing song in deck 1), to play the next song that is still in the playlist and is waiting to be loaded (not in deck 1 yet)?

automix_skip : if automix is active, skip the actual song and mix to the next one in the playlist. (it does not look like it cuts straight to this song though)

Again, untested, but some ideas for you.

Thank you VERY VERY much. I had a chance to try this out on Saturday and the action you indicated did EXACTLY what I needed. I ended up assigning this to my Arrow Down key (DOWN) on my keyboard. Worked like a charm!
