Hey all,
I'm new to this forum and new to djing, so any help would be much appreciated! I bought a BCD2000 of a guy 2day and he installed everything (after some hassle) on my Windows Vista Laptop. It worked fine at his place. Then I brought it home and the sound works through a set of speakers and the laptop, BUT, I cannot control through the BCD2000. I clicked into config and the "Remote Control" option, but the BCD2000 icon is now red (whereas it's suppose to be green). I tried rebooting by laptop several times but nothing has changed.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Can you advise me?

Don't know if you managed to fix your problem I have VDJ v 6.0.7, and there is no remote control tab any more, as the configuration appears to be automatic. So update your copy to this version. I have a BCD 2000, and under previous versions it was necessary to configure the remote control manually, like you are trying to do, but with the new version it is not. However, this is important. Whichever USB port you used to configure your BCD 2000, you have to make sure that it is always connected to that one. I have Vista, and if I connect the BCD to my USB hub it does not work. So I have to connect it to the same USB port that I initially used to configure the BCD on the laptop for it to work.
This works for me:
Connect the BCD to the laptop using the USB port that you initially used to configure your BCD,
power the BCD on
Boot the laptop
start VDJ
The remote control configuration should be automatic.
