Topic: Vdj denon controller with Serato Sl box?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Guys, need a little feedback here...

Will I be able to use a USB controller (denon hd2500) with vdj using the serato sl soundcard?

Looks like my establishment might be going that route. I would think it would but just want to be certain before this is asked by the new general manager.

Thanks!

The Hd2500 has a soundcard built in. If you want to use the serato soundcard, you have to dowload the time code signal into the Hd of the denon Hd2500. Connect the outputs of the denon hd2500 into the serato soundcard rca's. This would make sence if you would want to use serato but to use virtual thru the serato card doesn't. The denon deck already has the interface built in.

Thaanks for the reply but I think you missed what I'm asking. The question was can I use the hd2500 as a midi hid controller wiu x DJ with thrb3 beein the soundcard vdj uses tonget output to the mixer?

The pioneer cdjs would be hooked to the sl3 but I need to know if I could still use thr hd2500. I'm not concerned with the denon builtin card.

I'm tryying to give fellow djs the choice between serato and vdj as well as being able to continue using the hd2500 controller with vdj.

I have a friend that uses pcvj dac3 and sl1 as his soundcard.

Pardon the typos...doing this from my iPhone at the club.

I didnt understand what you wrote.

hmm okay I'll start over. LOL

I have a Denon HD2500. I have 2 CDJ 1000's. I have Virtual DJ Pro. The HD2500 currently uses the computer's PCI soundcards (don't ask about the onboard HD2500 card - using the onboard HD2500 card has nothing to do with what I am asking).

The club is buying the SL3 to use with the CDJ 1000's. I know I can still use VDJ Pro with the SL3 and CDJs with the VDJ TCCDs. The wiring set up will be...

CDJs output into the SL3 inputs, SL3 outputs into Rane Mp44. This will allow us to have the choice between VDJ AND Serato.

Question is...Will I be able to use the HD2500 (if I so choose since I do like using it) as a MIDI/HID controller with VDJ with VDJ sending it's audio outputs to the SL3???

A friend of mine uses both Serato and PCVJ with Dac3. If he can do it I would assume I would still be able to use the HD2500 as midi/hid controller for VDJ...is this correct?

Yes, you can use a MIDI controller such as HD2500 alongside timecode, and you can use another sound card of your own choice rather than that built into the HD2500.

However, the SL3 cannot currently be used with VirtualDJ or any other software except Serato (And possibly Itch) because it has no standard drivers available.

When using a MIDI controller with timecode, you will be able to trigger loops, effects, etc. from the MIDI controller (If buttons are mapped up for these.) If you disable timecode (Shortcut or MIDI button assigned to timecode_active) then you can take over control of the song using the jogwheels, pitch, etc. on the HD2500.

Well that certainly puts a kink in things.

Thanks JP for the feedback.
