Topic: BIG Problem W/Virtual DJ & Maya 44

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I’m very new to DJing and the equipment I bought was on a pretty small budget. I ended up buying (2) Numark TT1625, (1) Gemini UMX-7, Maya 44, (2) Scratch Live Control Vinyl’s and a lot of stuff that’s not important. Before I even got my soundcard in the mail I tested everything and everything works perfectly fine. The big problem comes when I try to hook up the Maya 44 soundcard to Virtual DJ.

Nothing I did worked at all, under config I selected Timecodes, External Mixer, and ASIO Driver like your suppose to. I’ve had this soundcard for about a month now and no matter how I changed the settings I was never able to get it to work. I’ve never had anything greater than 0% quality.

I tried it on two different computers that I own. The first computer I tried was a HP Pavilian Desktop from 2002 and the second computer I tried it on was my Dell Inspiron laptop from 2006. It wouldn’t work on either computer. What am I doing wrong?

Here’s a pic of my setup so you can see what I'm working with.

Thanks in advance

Did you install the maya 44 drivers? When properly installed, the maya should show up as a sound card choice in VDJ. If you have installed them, I suggest you reinstall them.

I installed and reinstalled the drivers many times. The Maya 44 was an option under soundcard, but I was told to select ASIO Driver even though Maya 44 was an option.

Make sure you go into your asio config and make sure that only the usb maya sound card is selected for the output.

here are my settings if it helps you.

Only Audio Device on USB Bus is selected

Latency Compensation

In 32 Samples
Out 32 Samples

Hardware buffer unchecked
Kernal Buffers 2
Always resample unchecked
Force WDM Driver to 16 bit unchecked

Asio Buffer size = 512 samples

Hope this helps

By the way, if none of that works look at your maya card and check to see that the headphone out light is on. If not then you need to shut down VDJ, unplug the usb maya and plug it back in and wait for the headphone light to come on. Then you can activate VDJ. The headphone red led light being on indicates that windows recognizes the sound card and it is available for use.

Is this what you mean for the output?

And yes there's two lights on, a bright red light and a dimmer orange light.

Their should be three lights on.

If the red light by the headphone jack is not on then windows in not recognizing the maya card.

Also I am using ASIO4ALL v.2
I have had better luck with this one. Try installing the ASIO4ALL v.2. Select ASIO Driver for your sound card and then select ASIO4ALL v.2 instead of the maya driver.

Check out my guide i created a while ago.

This should help you get a basic setup

Wow!!!! Thanks you very much for making that guide. I’ve been having problems for a long time now, I followed your guide and I had it working within seconds after I finished reading the guide. I originally bought 2 Behringer UFO-202 and I couldn't get them to work with my setup. So I sold both of them on ebay and bought a better soundcard, Maya 44. And for the last month or so I’ve been trying to get the Maya 44 to work and I was just thinking about selling it.

Thank you
