Yeah, if your not going to be doing a lot of fancy tricks, that should do the job.
 
This doesnt seem to work......... I followed the video to the T

It says the timecoded mp3 is only 22 seconds! So the tune stops then! And if i hit play again on the CDJ's, the tune plays backwards!

Also, my mixer isn't getting anything, the monitor lights & master output are non-existant. I can only hear the high-pitch noise.

Any clues?
 
Ok, Ive managed to get sound but one deck has that high-pitch sound (like a bad ground-loop)........ and if i switch the leads around, the other deck makes that noise...... so it has to be the channel?
 
Furthermore, I found whats causing the high-pitch sound....... it goes when I shut my PC down..... but re-appears once it comes on! So, what can it be?
 
 
Deff not a ground loop, as I added an isolator between the mixer & amp...... besides, only 1 channel on the usb card goes like this..... why isn't anything simple!
 
Is this sound constant or only when your playing the timecode CD? I'm wondering whether you're hearing the timecode track...

Constant, when either channel is playing...... Only one channel..... very weird.........

Another issue.... I've never tried timecodes before, but also occasionally the track can skip, which, to my knowledge could be my spare 1.2ghz celeron (its for testing purposes) so the CPU is maxed - understandable... but if i pause a track and play it again, the track can play backwards! Al;so, if I hit Cue on CDJ's, the track just stops (after a few seconds sounding like it iss stratching) dead, shouldnt it go back to the beginning? When a track ends, it keeps going forever too...... As I say, I've never tried timecodes before, so this could sound n00bish.
 
Also make sure that your left/right audio connections are the right way round, that can mess timecode up as well...

Yeah that sound that you can hear is not audio interference, that's the timecode signal...

so, what do you suggest..... and how come its on one channel only (that confuses me)

Well, the ASIO mute worked...... but its sooo low volume, even at the mixer at max.....

Also, how can you cue tracks.... maybe because my decks are not proper CDJ's, as the platter alters the pitch (like pitch bend) as default, when i hit cue, it doesnt do anything... and when I hit cue when the track plays, it just stops - I guess I need to reload the track in VDJ?
This renders it unfeasible to use really, what with the reverse when thouching the platter, random tempo changes and reverse when playing tracks......

I've spent loads on this already...... remind me if I ever get an idea in my head, to shoot myself! lmao
