now, i'm a new girl here and am about to hand over my very hard earned cash for a DJ console...
So, Is the RMX MUCH better than "Steel"???
or is it that the RMX comes with a built in sound card and the "Steel" doesnt??
so, would i need to buy a sound card for the "Steel"? if so, what would be the best one??
Or would just buying the RMX cover this???

The RMX has a soundcard, the Steel does not. That is the only real difference. If your computer has two soundcards the Steel would work. If it does not, buy the RMX. The need for two sound cards, or a 4.0 soundcard, is previewing of tracks. If you cannot preview tracks your mixes will not be as smooth.

depends on your pc and what it is capable of doing..(I HEART WINDOWS)...i have dj|io sound card and steel and they work great best thing your steel needs to be unplug during session or gets unplug you wont effect your sound :) thas the only plus.....bennefit that i know of.

got to look at it this way the RMX has it's cards built in and it's decent enough for the price = no messing about with extra cabling, Steel needs cards = means extra cabling, but you can use any sound your money allows.

me i'm lazy, go RMX.

I'm gonna go with the rmx also. Need to beatmatch better. Less wires are great, especially if working in clubs.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SPEEDY REPLIES.
I THINK I WILL GO WITH THE RMX.
BIG LOVE.

AM I BEING A BIT SHALLOW OR DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THE "STEEL" LOOKS BETTER THAN THE RMX. STURDY, MORE SUBSTANTIAL AND LESS... WELL...TINNY!!!
IS THIS A SINFUL THING TO SUGGEST??

They are made out of the same materials. The Steel has darker sides, yes, but both are sturdy metal construction, brushed aluminum. I have had my RMX for over a year, and it is still as reliable as it was a year ago. If cosmetics are important to you there is always web searching overlays.

All of the great DJs are shallow, sinful, ego maniacs. I am proud to belong to such a fine group of individuals. There is nothing wrong with allowing style be a part of the equation. I just happen to believe that function, should be the main consideration. Looking good, and not being able to perform, now that is ...........

your right i know. thanx.
i only have 6 days left on my trial version!!!
if i dont buy the rmx in the next week, can i download the trial version again???

If you go with the RMX, it comes with a limited version of VDJ. You can use that towards a discount on VDJ Pro.

Thank you all, you've been most helpfull.
if i dont get the RMX this week can i download the trial version again for another month?? just have to save up more cash fpr the RMX!!!
I thought they said that the best things in life were free... seems to me that the best things in life are about 300 quid and in "Brushed steel"!!!

send a ticket to the moderation staff as a please request lol and they might help you out.
by the way the rmx is the way to go well over a year and still love it to bits.

thanx Staffy... i'll give it a go...
