hey everytime i press the button to smallen the number of beats to loop it goes straighgt to ? and loops one i have to do it very very quickly to slip in 3 hits before it hits the end of the first beat so i can go to 8 etc what can i do to fix this?

1- map a key from your keyboard to loop_half
2- map a key from your keyboard to loop_double
By default key ''8'' should be loop half
By default key ''9'' should be loop double
You'll see, it will works faster.
