If you open the config console for the RMX (not VDJ) there should be some setting options for the crossfader. I'm not familiar with the RMX but my Hercules MK2 software puts an icon in the system tray.

Indeed, this options is not available for the Rmx.
VDJ Pro now include a way to modify the crossfader sensitivity, but not he DJC Edition version provided with the Rmx.

as the pro level will only allow you to scratch/full or smooth... not sure what other level of sensitivity your are looking for..however the scratch level in the pro level will be about the most sensitive to the touch...however the rmx config will not have any such settings inside of it..hope this helps..

yeah im looking to make the area from which it is full off to full on less for easier scratching. I have the pro edition installed but cant find anything on the crossfader, its the trial pro so not sure if that has anything to do with it but it says it has full pro features?

you say you want it easier for scratching? if so you can go into the config> first option should be crossfader.. just change it to scratch..and then just move your fader on your rmx or on your comp and you should feel the diff in the music.
