Just get my rmx controller and cant get it to work.pc dont recognize rmx console.I have try every thing,update drivers ,called hercules technical support still at ground zero.

Try to: Reinstall VDJ, and make sure you have the RMX installed BEFORE you start up VDJ.

I try every thing with this controller and cannot get it to work.Might return it back to guitar center,and get something that is not so difficult to installed.However i would be happy if i get some help before i do same.thank you all.

Vista or XP??? You HAVE to install the drivers BEFORE you even think of connecting the controller to the pc. You connect the controller when the installer asks u to do so, then AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, you need to skip (cancel) Windows attempts to install drivers (ie, new hardware detected) and allow the Hercules drivers to install.

Brian is right, and even then sometimes Windows commands their own drivers when it doesn't recognize the driver signature, it can be a pita.
One thing he did not mention is to make sure you run these driver packages as the administrator in Vista.

Thank you guys for all the help.The hardware is detected and all the software installed properly.The problem that i am having now is at the bottom of my computer where the hercules dj series control panel there is a red x. I can check for updates and hardware information,but i cannot open it or select device.

I installed the software that come with controller and try to open it but it wont.It said contoller is not detected plug it in.The controller is plug in and i have tried several usb cord that i have,different the one that come with the hercules.I am using windows vista inspiron 1520.

Try to download and install the latest drivers from Hercules http://ts.hercules.com/ger/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=2&fid=28&pid=215&cid=1

hi i realy need some help....i installed the drivers for hercules rmx on another laptop.(in the preveous pc is working fine)but a messenge says the controller has not been detected and the dj icon from the bar has a red x on it,i install and reinstall the drivers so many times but no luck,nothing is working,i run on acer 5315,vista home basic.plese halp.tks

mate always use same usb connection when plugging in rmx(usb connection used when installing drivers)
