Hi guys, just loading vdj (5.2.1)onto my new system and I am lookiing for jp boggis's mapper for the hc4500 so I can set it up the same as my old lappy, does any one know where i can download it from as i cant seem to see it in the download centre or how i can transfer the nessicery files from my old lappy to the new so the 4500 is mapped in the same way.

Cheers

Thanks, think the lack of sleep is catching up lol

will the JP Boggis mapper work for vdj 6.5?

There is no 6.5, only 6.0.5. DLL mappers - such as JPs 4500 mapper - are not compatible with v6 onwards.

You can of course install both versions on your PC, I use V6 in some gigs and V5.2 in the club with the JPB mapper.

Oh yeah i thats what i meant 6.0.5, i may just use both 5.2 and 6.0.5, can i map my controller any way i want using the v6 mappers anyway?

Yes, although it's not possible to map to the complexity of the DLL mappers in VDJ script at present.

If all you want is simple button mapping then it's easy to do in 6.0.5

Okay great i will try mapping something. thanks for the info.

You can actually do much more than simple button mapping, so please don't let that hold you back from experimenting with the capabilities.

Hi,

Apologies, my post above wasn't saying what it was supposed to. What I meant was that you can start with simple button mapping then take it further with VDJ script.

Please have a look at the Wiki here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VDJscript.html
