and i wasnt impressed, i was using it with a pair of CDJ-1000's and personally i think the lack of features in Serato sucks.. the CDJ's seem like a waste of cash if youre going to use them with SL

I also find Serato featureless to the point that it's very basic but it works ok, only use it when I have to.
Don't like CDJ's anyway, prefer with turntables.

to use samples and effects my friend has to use a separate midi controller and cant use all the features on thid CDJs

What features are you refering to on the cdj's. because all of mine work with serato with no problem. does he have the cdj 400 or 1000

Your CDJ 1000 has nothing to do with serato. You are using a cd player for just time codes only.. Its not a Midi deck where you can control extra features on the software. You need a Midi deck Like a CDJ 400 or a Denon 3700 deck. Currently the CDJ 400 is working native & the Denon 3700 is not.

Yea, I'm coming with a conclusion that VDJ is better than serato in my opinion and with how I do my mixes toooo. I just hope the timecode engine gets its act together. Don't get me wrong its not terrible, but its not amazing either.

Just done an online survey for Serato and when I got to the bottom there was no submit button, I pressed enter anyway but nothing. So they waisted my time, simple things like that just make them look stupid another thing codecs. Tight Bast*rds
