Does anyone know a simple answer to this please...

ive just got a new laptop and loaded virtual DJ. all works fine except when i go into configurations and opt for an external mixer. when i do this the sound isn't getting split, i still have both decks coming through both channels. i thought it may have not installed properly so uninstalled and done it again. same result. then i thought it may have been a fault with the software, but loaded it on to a PC and another laptop. no problem with that configuration on those, just on this laptop!! Has anyone had a similiar problem and did you manage to solve it? your help will be much appreciated! THANKS!

Do you have at least a 2 channel sound card. You need to split the channels from the sound card to the mixer.

Check your skin for the CUE/MIX slide bar or knob, and make sure it is set for CUE.

DJnrgbear: Ive got it on EXTERNAL MIXER - MONO SEPERATED which is the settings on all my other PCs laptops, so it should be fine

JimL: Yh mate, i already had those settiings, but thanx anyway
