if you have a pair of turntables, say numarks dj in a box, all you have to do is buy the timecoded vinyls and the adapter and it hooks up to your pc? like, you could do that with any turntables as long as you bought the virtual vinyl adapters?

Any turntable.
A side note though..
There are two types of turntables.. belt-driven, and motor-driven (direct drive).
Numark in a box, offers both.. The cheap one being belt driven.
IF you intend to be a scratching DJ, do not go for belt driven turntables.
They will simply not cut it for fast scratching.
For regular beatmixing djing, its fine.. Although direct drive is always better
