Topic: Sound Card Question

I use a Native Instruments Audio4DJ sound card with 2 Stanton CD decks w/ timecodes, and a Behringer 4 channel mixer. Is there a way that I can use the NI soundcard for decks 1 and 2, and use the onboard computer sound card for the samples? If that's the case, I could run a line from the headphone jack into a 3rd channel on the mixer.

Otherwise, when I use the sampler, it is always either too soft or WAY too loud in comparison to the music being played. It becomes even worse (on the loud side) when I drop a sample in the middle of a transition from deck 1 to deck 2, during the moment where both channels are being played out.

I think you can't do what you are looking for.

As you need to use ASIO Driver for using timecode and your AUDIO 4 DJ has only 2 channels like inputs and 2 channels like outputs, you are not able to do that.

You could upgrade your AUDIO 4 DJ with AUDIO 8 DJ and then your new soundcard is going to work as you wish.

I figured as much. Shoulda done more homework when I bought the Audio4DJ. I woulda gone with the 8. Thanks for the help!!
