Topic: thinking about getting home edition

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi,

I've been DJing on vinyl for a long time, and I'd like to make a switch over to mixing MP3s. I just want to start out with a very simple application, don't know much about DJ software functionality. The Virtual DJ home edition seems like it will give me what I need. I haven't been able to find any reviews about it, though, no info other than the basic stuff in the Products section.

Can you help me figure out if this will meet my needs? My ideal situation is that I can take my laptop with me to a club, plug into the mixing board, and just spin some tunes, match beats, adjust the EQ. I know there's a whole lot more out there, like effects, Ableton compatiblity, sampling, etc. But for now I just need something n00b level to get started.

Also, what sound card do you recommend?

thanks,
hkdgr

if your working in clubs or bars you want to go to pro in my opinion, much more possibilities available with pro. sound cards a lot of the guys favour the maya 44, couldn't say anything good or bad about it as i have built in card to my controller.

I agree with Tayla...I wouldn't perform publicly with the home edition due to its limitations in terms of functionality. I also use the built-in soundcard on the RMX.
