VirtualDJ - Help needed please with the Denon dnhs5500

I am new here so bear with me but loving the forum :)

I am in need of some advice or help with my denon

I have had it 12 months and had no issues- its an american model imported using a uk converter

I am using a self powered hardrive- buffalo- 1tb and have ensured there are not to may files in one folder etc

The issue i have started having is on an intermittent basis the bpm will change mid track- ie i will be in the middle of mixing and the bpm will shift on its own from say 140.0- 140.5- 139.5- this is causing issues in playback making the track "wobble" and making mixing impossible due to the variation in bpm

i am using 100% legal dloads from a website on m03- and am using the deck in single mode not 2 decks in one

I have read through the manual and cant seem to work out whats wrong- buts its really bothering me now

I have never updated the software since i got it would this be worth a try?

Also when i am playing the pitch range button is lit however i am sure that is normal allowing me to adjust the bpm when and if necessary
