Is there any other encoder(besides Lame MP3) i can use/get to use with vdj??
and is there a way i can change so when someone loads my broadcast stream from the direct link, it DOESNT load quicklime player.

Sounds like when they loaded quicktime they chose it as their default player. I use the broadcast function with friends. When they click on my link they get Windows Media Player. Or whatever DEFAULT player they have set up.
