Doing a party and it seems like every song skipped? Any ideas? Also had some fuzz sounds coming from the speakers? These things have never happeend before. Using rmx console amp. Any help appreciated

Yes, the music is too loud and you are vibrating your RMX. No, you don't have to turn down the music, you need to take the RMX out of "Scratch" mode, then this won't happen. You may want to buy a rubber mat to put underneath your unit to help dampen vibrations.

I know this bit of info not because I own an RMX, but because my good friend DJ Advise has encountered this. One of sons owns an RMX too and he asked me the same question.

Thanks for the reply it seems I don't have the scratch button enabled. Also my rmx is rack mounted any other ideas? Appreciate it
 
I'm not sure, that was just my first thought.

Do you use your RMX in ASIO mode? If you do then it could be that your have your ASIO Buffer (RMX control panel) set to low. Try it on a slightly higher sample

You might of had a ground loop problem. In future if you get it again. Just disconnect your power cable and run on the laptop battery. If the buzzing stops then you have the problem.

What you could do is get yourself one of these and keep it with you whenever your gigging. So if you experience the buzzing again you have a simple fix for it :)
 
Thanks for the replies guys, im doing another party in 2 weeks i will try these suggestions, hopefully i have some luck, the "skipping" thing was quite annoying, and left a bad taste in my mouth
 
you should ask jimmy b, i had the same problem..send him a pm he'll tell you the right config..he's on the hercules forum too...
