i recently upgraded to vdj 6.0,i am experiencing lots of issues.will atomix ever release a product that just works,its meant to be plug and play and not tweaks and adjustments,i do club events and most club owners don't offer downtime for 1 hr setup and tweaks when u the gig is live and people are on the dance floor.i speak like this comparing serato,trakktor which its all about plug and play.unlike vdj,time codes stop responding halfway during a gig or mix,then if u try to beat juggle the software crashes. pitch skips automatically..............vdj has been around longest than serato,and vdj has many features stability wise it sucks.don't see why i need to be in a club with my fingers crossed all night

I am a potential buyer too, but reading to many problems and seems like the answers for ALL NO LICENSE USERS are BUY THE PROGRAM.

Well, we will BUY IT if it freaking werks.

Wait till CSTOLL comes, here. He's on ethe guys that thinks he knows what he's doing. I bet you hell tell me to BUY IT.

All LICENSED USERS problems are the same as the NLU.

Who tested this products anyway, before it gets realese? a MONKEY....
 
NEWSFLASH...it does work! Its worked for me since 4.3 when I first bought it! Sure I had some tweaking issues with my laptop but once it was set its worked! I've been using the current release on jobs since first of June. The issues are ISOLATED...not every use r has issues! Either make the jump or don't your choice just quit bitching about it. What software do you use on a regular basis? Please let me know so I can go on that forum and complain I can't get it to work right!
 
Just to be clear.

VDJ certainly does work 'out of the box'. I have had minimal setup required to get it fully running under the demo.

As for Traktor, in my experience, it requires MORE tuning to get it working fully, as it can do wierd things, without any errors being displayed, if things like asio timings are wrong.
 
maybe that is why we cannot get this wonderful software to work,due to peoples attitude,when u present a problem its not bitching,if u compare how serato does its releases, it is usually a beta version which they pre warn u not to use until you are sure,and they respond immediately to concerns.now vdj markets the product,release it then they go mute, fix it then run an update,meanwhile u have installed ran into issues with it.for one user who says it works guess he must use a desktop,or maybe u use a keyboard to play.ask anybody the pitch drift with timecodes since release of 5.1.like i said its a wonderful product,but for you to perform u need to have confidence in your dj tools not play when u under pressure hoping it wont crash, or better yet carry cd players incase of a rainy day "crashguard! virtual dj can automatically recover"and when it does u post it here for help from pro users,looking for answers and u get negative responses not from al,l some pro users r on point with solutions,others are in here trying to out do others,we all have the same product its not like u have a pro version shipped specifically to you from atomix.so please solutions and ideas please instead of back and forth

I use VDJ three nights a week, EVERY WEEK playing 99% video so your above statement is WRONG. "All" licensed users do not have the same problems.

My last "problem" was in 2008 and I haven't had any issues this year. Perhaps it's the MONKEY you have operating your system that's causing the problem, if that's the case I don't think buying a licensed copy would help YOU.

Do you use the mouse when you want to SEARCH (clicking on the serach field) it's ramdon CRASHING for me.
 
just buy virtual vynl and upgrade it works if you some how come across a craked version youll be playing then 4hrs into a gig it could mess up and make you look stupid i seen it happen last week a guy was using a craked version then all of a sudden a vocoder crash started to say stop bieng a cheapskate and buy the programm it was totally funny not for the dj though lol
 
Just for the sake of: I am a professional software developer. I have written software for 20 years and there is no such thing as perfect software. There are simply too many variables to insure a "always works" piece of code. The smaller the application the more likely to work perfectly, but VDJ is a complex app and there are simply too many ways a computer can be setup to insure perfect.

That said, while I can grasp your frustration (again, I've lived in the world for a long time) if you can narrow down the specific issue(s) I'd bet that the tech staff would be happy to attempt to address them.

(sorry if this comes of as a bit of a rant, I have heard this sort of complain so many times and... well, you get the point)
