I have only 65$ to my name so the budget is a tight, but I am going to get a job or whatever is needs to get the money. Right now I have a soundcard, mixer and a laptop with virtual dj. Here is the problem I don't know war to get a numark total control or two turntables and timecode vinyls. The money is not the problem to getting it because when I buy something I buy it for quality not for the bargain, it will just take some time. Thanks in advanced. Please help me I have pontential and will power& I love making peope dance!!

Hi mate.
It depends on what kind of djing you intend to do. if you are into scratch mixing and prefer the feel of turntables then go for TC vinyl if your into beatmatching and effects stuff then look at a controller.

Best of luck

I have seen the iCue (similar to the Total Control) on clearance for $79 at select Target stores. I bought one for my youngest son (18) to play around with and he's good!

Check online to see which Target store in your area has it in stock. All you need is your computer, sound card and a sound system to plug into.
It comes with VDJ LE. This is a good way to get started and you will have a legal copy of VDJ.

I picked my DMC2 controller up pretty cheap from Sam Ash music. maybe you might want to look into that as well if you are just more of a mix style DJ. the "scratch" mode on it is "ok", definaetly not a turntable by any means.

what mixer do you have? if its USB you can use it as your sound card.

as far as the turntable option goes, I am a big fan of criagslist, lol. I found a set of Technics 1200 MKII's a mixer, cartridges, styli and a coffin for $1K US that I am thinking of getting. I would check out that option. maybe even Ebay. as far as turntables are concerned I am slightly biased because my old turntables that I used to have were Technics and I loved them. and like I just said you can find good deals on them on CL and Ebay. hell even check local pawn shops. a friend of mine works at one and just had a set of 1200 MKII's come in like two weeks ago but couldn't get ahold of me to come get them and they sold that week so you never know.

if anyone has any input on other turntables feel free to give the kid some input cause like I said all I have ever had was technics and my opinion is biased.

just some food for thought.
