Hi All,

Simple poll. Bassed on your experience so far would you recommend upgrading from v5 to v6?

Not until 6.0.2 which I hope will be soon.

Except for issues with pitch reset wih keylock enabled (crackling sound), it's been fine for me thus far ;)
 
Gigged with it in my nightclub residencies 3 nights per week since it came out, it's awesome!!! Go get it. :-)
 
well last weekend had crashes on the friday and saturday, decided yesterday afternoon to revert back to 5 worked last night for 6 hours not one freeze or crash so will be sticking with 5 tonight as well, then if time permits through the week will try and sort out what was affecting 6, because lets face it the problem has got to be my side if the majority of users are having a great time with it.
 
playing 2 videos seems to take a lot of memory, which i didnt notice before in version 5.

1gb ram is not enough, even if youre running XP (which uses less ram then vista/win7)
 
Thanks, unfortunatley because of the related issues with 6.0.1 not recognising CD+G zipped files I am using 5.2

Just is the exception for upgrade. have to wait for this fix.

6.01 recognizes zipped files just fine... what problem are you having?

6.0.1 won't recognise all zipped cd+g files as 5.2 does. Despite changing the compression on a test file 0 to 9 6.01 fails to open them . All is fine with 5.2 .
 
vdj6.0.... best i have used so far... solved a lot of my issues...
only thing is that deck two timecode picth continues to slightly up and down

but the response is great...... plus it solved my deck1 problems completely (had latency problems before and would not come back to set cues correctly...)
 
my bcd2000 jogwheels now dont work with this new version. any ideas?

well it's been good during 6 1/2 7 hour shifts at the strip clubs plus my weekend mobile gigs

the crash while search seems to be gone .......

i still have the "tired " software problem where it doesn't load the stripe in automix

it only does it after 6 or more hours, sometimes 10 , 11 hours before it happens ...hence the tired moniker

anyway i muchly dig the new default skin , and seems more stable than 5.2 plus some cool new features like netsearch .....
 
i hate to say it but EVERY time i have used it in a live club setting it didn't perform as well as CUE 5.2 now mind you i scratch a bit, doubles, etc so i'm talking more on the TC issues and a few other minor things i have noticed. i did have it crash a few times while testing it out in the studio but never bother to submit the crash report. it said in there something like crash guard: serato output which doesnt make sense to me. for now i'll stick with CUE 5.2.
