Just woke up after a few hours kip. Getting ready to fly back to the UK. Like all legendary performers, MJs music will live on. I had just finnished a gig out here (70s night) and lost track of how many Jacksons tracks were asked for. What a life.

Hey, come on! There's really no need for this here. As an artist, the guy was brilliant. If there were questions about his personal life, so be it. Leave it for somewhere else. I don't think it belongs here.

For me, the guy will live on in his music. May he rest in peace...

Tayla does not have the ability to edit posts. Only Moderator and above has that ability. That being said no Mod will EVER edit a post unless it is absolutely needed. I think you owe Tayla an apology......

Michael Jackson we love you GOD BLESS YOU

Man, I understand news coverage is trying to get the best ratings and one up each other but I can't help in noticing they are trying to tell his bad qualities with out looking bad. Every network is saying how he revolutionized then in the next sentence ask a guest caller on something degrading...

What happend to Farrah Fawcett's news. She has been completely over shadowed.

Sorry for the incovinience Tayla... Sleep Well !

I'm out here in NYC, leaving tomorrow to Houston and ultimately back to Japan but the news has been insane to the point that the Apollo at 125th is blowing up into a HUGE MJ celebration party! I also was in Macy's 34th street. There is a DJ booth on the 4th floor using Serato & only VDJ for video but jamming. Much love to the undisputed King of Pop!!

Rest in peace michael.. You sure to be missed in the industry. God bless.

Hope also this could be all for the week...

I'm shocked... Sad indeed

A Unique entertainer R.I.P

Yeah MJ is guilty in the court of public opinion, you would wish some of these Americans/Canadians would hold their elected officials to such high standards but that's asking too much...

I still play his stuff, why not? Its still hot, umm how old is Off The Wall - 1979

He was ahead of his time and still is ahead of his time. He lost his way a bit, but so what, that happens to Icons you can't expect them to be on top forever. But he was generally respected around the industry whatever legal problems he had. Show me the court that convicted him of anything and I'll show you the court that convicted OJ of criminal murder. Much like OJ, he was taken to civil court because in the end, all they want is your MONEY, and just because he paid an paid the families money, that automatically admits guilt????

Trust me, you become RICH and FAMOUS and watch what happens, you'll be paying off all kinds of people, why because they come up with all kinds of nonsense to get between you and your money and because your a popular public figure your known as a "target" by scam artist who make up all shapes and sizes and don't be fooled by "Families" concerned for their child safety bullshit, what parent would leave a child alone with an adult, I don't care WHO it is?!

People will say almost anything for 40 million dollars, wouldn't you???

Why should he say sorry? Just another person spitting out what's been repeated by the media, where no court has convicted him, in the court of public opinion that's almost too easy.

Free Speech in this country is not the ability to say whatever the hell you want and not be held accountable for it... In some circles Choc can be hauled into court for defamation, he's lucky he's not in Hollywood circles with itchy fingered lawyer all to ready to make such a unintentional post into a multi-million dollar suit...

Freedom is not just a RIGHT it is a RESPONSIBILITY. Not because many people repeat something, make it true. In a time all people think the earth was flat...

The true I know is that no apple tree could give me limes. So I think there were total misunderstanding on a guy that felt as a kid, the problem, he was an Adult. I don't believe that has any bad intentions, cause is not what he really was. I have my doubts about the charges that put him in court...

Anyway, I respect him, and now more than ever because the persons that suffer now are his family. So I don't go to any funeral telling bad things about the man in the box... I keep it to myself, there could be another time and place to speak about other things, not there not at the moment.

My condolences to Jackson family.

^+1^

He gave up his life decades ago for our entertainment pleasure and what a ride he gave us.

When I think of the stars and what they give up, they have every right to have private problems in/with their lives.
The guy never had a childhood, had an old man that beat him, and what was left the paparazzi preyed on no holes barred family included.
Put yourself in his place for a different perspective, non of us are angels.

You wouldn't show up at a funeral and say these things at his eulogy, so why take shots hiding behind a key board and monitor?

Cut the guy some slack, personal opinions don't matter, and the timing shows very poor taste.
Its the same as the banning of his music during his accused trial matters, who are we to judge particularly when the media is the sole source?

I don't condone what he was accused of, but I don't condem because of all he gave us and his legacy will live forever.

As his life swings in the balance in front of his God, let him be the judge not us.

why should he say sorry, i think that is quite obvious, he accussed me of something i didn't do, but hasn't pressed me for any money and has apologised for his mistake so why bring up old posts,

get your facts right before you make statements concerning posts please, misinformation can lead to greater misunderstanding in all walks of life...

i asked for people not to lambast or cast opinions on mj on this thread there are other posts to do that in, but your not even respecting that.

subject closed on the apology bit as far as i'm concerned.

Actually yesterday evening (CET) I was sorting my vids collection and MJ's billie jean and thriller were the only ones that were not sort&skipp-ed but we watched them whole with my girlfriend. In the morning I heard this bad news and I still feel like crying.
I called my Girlfriend

"You Remember what we watched yesterday ???"
"You think MJ ?"
"Yes, he passed last night, about the time we we disputing how awesome he is"
"It's not funny to make fu..."
"I'm not kidding"
"Oh my god,... " - she started crying

Rest in peace Michael

Well said Rick.

RIP MJ, your music is timeless and will carry on your name forever.

Rest in peace Mike, you gave me a lot of great music to dance and listen to throughout my childhood, and adulthood. And thanks Mods for keeping this thread on a mostly positive tilt towards the King of Pop. As I heard someone say on the radio yesterday, no one wants to know too much about their idols. Everyone is human, and having to pretty much live your whole life under a spotlight has to be the toughest thing ever. I'm just focusing on the music, I can really care less about what was speculated in his private life.
