Topic: how to get time to show remain from start

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

i'm sure its a simple changing of the xml file but i looked through the file and didn't see anything refering to the time. i would like the time display on my control decks to be default time remain setting. help would be great.

The new V6 skin automatically displays both and you can highlight and/or change the color of each one right on the screen without modifying the xml file.

no im talking when i start the program it stays at remain. not just click on it to switch it.

the new vdj6 skin shows both elaspsed time and remaining time on startup, no need to click anything

ok but NOT FOR CUE im not asking about pro6. im asking in general with editing an xml file.

That info would have been helpful in trying to help you.

yes but technically it shouldn't matter editing the xml file for both programs should be the same scripts as i have used skins etc from cue with vdj 6. or am i wrong?

I also use a custom skin and would prefer time remaining on startup. Any way to set this?

%Pspent - time elapsed
%Pleft - time remaining

:)

ok i went into the skin sml file i use and changed the %pspent to pleft and it didn't work. also a statement earlier said that vdj6 saves the setting on exit well thats a LIE. i had it to remain and when i opened it up its on elapsed.

still can;'t get it to open from time remain any ideas?

Which skin are you using? I would be willing to edit it for you (if possible) and sent it to you.

OK this one has always annoyed me a bit too because its about the only thing I needed a mouse for. So this is what I found - if you no longer want to be able to see time elapsed (ie when you press the time nothing happens just always displays time remaining), heres how...

Open the xml for your skin, and use 'Find' to search for %Pspent - change this to %Pleft
then click find next and do the same for all %Pspent in the file. Change them all to %Pleft.

Open vdj and load a track - you will find it only displays time remaining, even when you click on it.

I'm sure there would be a better way if you changed the appropriate ones but I couldnt be bothered figuring out which ones as I never want to know time elapsed.

Make sure you get the capitalisation correct.
